2012 - STAR PRINCESS - MACHU PICHU - GETTING AWAY

MACHU PICHU BACK TO THE HOTEL BY TRAIN WAS MOSTLY AT NIGHT. A BIT OF A LET DOWN, BUT WE HAD SEEN IT ON THE WAY THERE.

it rained on this trip, for the first time in a long time.

I was not the only one nuts enough to try taking photos out the windows. The people here often have a little ornament on the roof. A bull & bells - to ward off evil maybe.

Anyway I never did get a good picture of one.

it stopped raining as we got to the airport for the flight to Manta...

we were only in ecuador for about two hours

Only just made it to the ship on time and the ships staff gave us a great welcome home. Actually coming off the ship to give us towels & drinks. It was quite the performance.

And - was in worth it.

I think so & well done to the Princess staff & shore excursion people who made it happen.
