2015 - SWAN HELLENIC MINERVA - SANDAKAN, Malaysia

Today I go to see some relatives .. the Orang Utan

We drive out past some beautiful scenery & walk to a viewing area. It is a bit like being in a zoo without the zoo like feel. There are ropes & platforms. A man puts out some bananas & we all stay very quiet .. something of a rarity.

Sure enough an Orang Utan comes swinging out of the trees ..

Hairless apes & lots of them.

I left before the show was over & followed the boardwalk through the trees .. one lady had also detached herself & just the two of us had the jungle to ourselves .. very pleasant but we did not see any more wildlife other than the Gecko

A very weird looking growth on a tree ..

And back to the ship after a pleasant but strangely disappointing day out.
