2015 - SWAN HELLENIC MINERVA - KOMODO ISLAND, Indonesia

A picture perfect day as we sail towards Komodo & It must be obvious what the visit today will be ..

... but first we have to get there & here is the pilot to guide is to our anchorage.

We take the tender ashore & there, on the beach .. Is that a DRAGON?

We get a safety briefing from the ranger .. he does not mention anything to the person wearing red & did not enquire if any ladies were having their periodicals .. both said to enrage a DRAGON

He does have a big stick .. but is that enough to ward of a blood crazed DRAGON?

There's one! No .. just a deer .. lunch for a DRAGON .. or a snack perhaps.

OMG! ... This is definitely a DRAGON

Not looking so bloodthirsty ..

.. but Oh Momma .. look at the size of those CLAWS .. I say.. young man .. Look at those claws.

Ok then .. ignore me .. but YOU have the big stick.

A bit of excitement .. there is a baby DRAGON moving through the trees .. Are you sure? I see no Dragon . . do you see a dragon? .. I don't see no Drag.. .... .

Well that's that for the fierce dragon .. no need for caps .. no need to flee in terror .. but I think I did catch a gleam in his eye when he saw all this fresh white meat disturbing his apres-meal siesta.

A stop to pick up a souvenir Dragon .. Nah!

Beach time

Tender is not too crowded on the short ride back home.

I have no idea who this lady is .. I asked if she was related to a friend of mine .. they could be sisters .. but no relation.
