And arrive at the Folk Village at 5 to twelve - Lunch time.

Our schedule has us eating now but I see a sign saying there is a traditional Korean wedding at noon & suggest we go there & eat later.

No one else is up for that so I go on my own.

I go have roast chestnuts & a drink of something. On various excursions I buy a drink of anything I cannot read, but at one fridge I saw coffee in cans & was surprised it is hot.

Adverts for a show that I do not get to see - too bad.

I continue my stroll...

Inside a house....

Not sure what this represents. An opium smoker maybe. I should get the sign translated.

A river runs through the village which has buildings, a farm, horses, cattle, fields. It is all very well done & because I got a jump on my group & other tourists have not made it here yet, I have the place mostly to myself.

I find the shows going on ...

This is an unusual dance. The cloth is attached to his helmet & he spins & jumps.

The girls are squealing over torturing this poor guy. He's a Brazilian studying Korean,

A tightrope walker...

Ouch!!!

large_P1080868.jpg

It was a nice day out, made nicer by the lack of people, at least for a while.

There was a tour to the DMZ but I did not meet anyone who went. Not sorry I did not go. Ex-US forces personnel who had fought in Korea where quite emotional about being back in the country.

Another place worth a further visit..

Last port of call coming up - Tianjin. The port for Beijing...
